The twist is that the woman shared by two men died weeks before the action of the film begins. Her lover announces himself to the woman’s husband in hopes of relieving his grief. Andrei Cretulescu is writing the first draft of the script for what will be his debut film as a director.
The 400,000 EUR film produced by Icon Production has 80,000 EUR in place through services from Romanian postproduction houses Chainsaw Europe and Digital Cube. The film is closing a distribution deal in Romania and the sale of TV rights for Romanian and Moldova. The filmmakers will apply for a national grant in early 2014. The producers were in Cottbus seeking coproducers, camera equipment and creative crew (including original music) including possibly a foreign actress to play the wife in the film’s opening sequence.
The project is planned to shoot in 2015.
