BUCHAREST: Eighteen features and eight short films were selected for the Romanian Days at the 13th edition of Transilvania IFF , 30 May - 8 June 2014.

Romanian Days presents the best domestic films made in the last year and new films getting pre-premiere screenings. That's the case for four features: Nicolae Mărgineanu's Poarta Albă set in the forced labor camp of the Danube-Black Sea canal in 1949; Cornel Gheorghiţă's The Crypt/Cripta, the story of a French businessman (played by Serge Riaboukine) trapped in the courtyard in Băile Herculane; the feature documentary A Last Year/Un ultim an în 114 minute, the debut of the visual artist Daniel Djam documenting the last year of his grandmother's life; and America, Here We Come!/America, venim!, the debut feature of Răzvan Săvescu.

The jury for the features competition in the Romanian Days is composed of Christoph Terhechte, Grainne Humphreys and Pamela Pianezza. The short film section has only eight films, an intentionally short selection by Mihai Chirilov, the artistic director of TIFF, to encourage quality over quantity. The jury for the short film competition in Romanian Days is made of the winners for short films awards in festivals included in Operation Kino programme: Pavel G. Vesnakov, Fatih Kızılgök and Cristina Groşan.
