    CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Second Game/Al doilea joc which had its world premiere in the Forum section of the Berlinale 2014 is set during a local Romanian football match in December 1988, with a discussion off screen between Corneliu Porumboiu and his father, the referee Adrian Porumboiu who was the referee of the game.

    The film is produced by Marcela Ursu through 42Km Film, the production company established by Ursu and Porumboiu in 2004. The production company is also selling the film. Made with a budget of 20,000EUR, The Second Game is an experimental film and a personal documentary for Porumboiu who told FNE that he might have come to the end of a process. The film was released in Romania on 4 April 2014.

    The Second Game will be distributed in Germany, Switzerland and Austria by Arsenal Institut für Film und Videokunst, and in France and Belgium by Contre Allée.The latest deal of Corneliu Porumboiu's essay on time, history and football is with Kamera Oko, which will distribute it in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
