Palatul pionierilor / Pioneers Palace is written by Păunescu and produced by him through Mandragora Movies Bucharest in coproduction with Viorel Sergovici, Gilda Conon and Mihai Dorobanţu through Solar Indie Junction. The budget of 1 m EUR is completely in place, Păunescu told FNE. This is an independent project with no grants, supported only by B1 TV channel.
Sergovici is the DoP. The cast includes: Mihai Dorobanţu, Doru Ana, Ioana Pavelescu, David Liper, Toto Dumitrescu, and Costin Cambir. The 21 days of shooting took place in Bucharest. The premiere is set for autumn 2014. Mandragora Movies is the sales agent and it will distribute the film in Romania, and Fandango is the Italian distributor.
