The series stars undisclosed Japanese actors along the Romanian newcomer Cristi Rigman, presented in the 2016 TIFF's Ten for Film section. The cast includes Romanian actresses Elisa Pârvan and Sandra Ducuță, and also young actors and students from the Theatre and Television Faculty from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.

The series is produced by Japan's Django- Film Corporation with Libra Film servicing. According to Transilvania IFF, the Romanian scenes are shot on location and the production team is composed of professionals from Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest. The five days of shooting in Cluj-Napoca will be followed by two months of shooting in Japan.

"We are now trying to finalise the best and the most tenable financing scheme for the Transilvania Film Fund. Its benefits for the local enonomy and culture are countless - from jobs and business and tourism opportunities to the development of a community of film professionals", says Tudor Giurgiu, the president of Transilvania IFF.

Cristian Hordilă, the manager of TIFF and of Transilvania Film Fund said that in the first international project shot in Cluj-Napoca, Radu Mihaileanu's The History of Love (coproduced by Romania's Libra Film), Cluj-Napoca stood in for a Polish town in the 40s, a Chilean town and also for Minsk in the 50s.

Transilvania Film Fund is a public-private partnership included in the development strategy of Cluj-Napoca and was developped at SOFA - School of Film Agents.
