BUCHAREST: Romanian Film Centre distributed 4,439,766 EUR / 21,440,000 RON at its second session in 2016. Documentaries by Radu Jude and Alexander Nanau, and new feature film by Agnes Kocsis (a Romanian minority coproduction), are among winners.
Funding will be used as feature film, documentary, animated and short films production grants, as well as development grants for feature films and long documentaries.
2,397,475 EUR / 10.8 m RON went to eleven feature films and 1,031,913 EUR / 4,648,500 RON to five debut features. The biggest amount, 525,076 EUR / 2,365,330 RON, went to Spre Nord, the debut feature by Dan Mihai Mincan, produced by De Film Production.
The grants were announced on 12 December 2016.
