Romania Welcomes the 3rd PUSTNIK Screenwriters Residency

    BUCHAREST: Eight emerging filmmakers from Romania, Belgium, Hungary, Sweden, France and Switzerland are participating in the 3rd PUSTNIK Screenwriters Residency, running in Romania's Port Cultural Cetate from 2 to 10 September 2017.

    The residents are: Octav Chelaru (Romania), Deben Van Dam (Belgium), Szántó Fanni (Hungary), Caroline Ingvarsson (Sweden), Iris Pakulla-Manso (France), Simona Sava (Romania), Ioana Țurcan (Romania) and Luca Zuberbühler (Switzerland). They will work on developing their debut features and meet producers from their own countries for informal meetings and pitch sessions.

    Producers Julie Billy (Haut et Court, France), Dora Nedeczky (Moviebar Productions, Hungary), Giacun Caduff (Caduff Entertainment, Switzerland), Jurgen Willocx (Early Birds, Belgium) and Oana Giurgiu (Libra Film, Romania) will give feedback.

    This year 55 applications from 26 countries were received by the organisers of TETA. The event is co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN) and is also supported by the Romanian Film Centre and the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN).
