    BUCHAREST: Stere Gulea’s Moromete Family: On the Edge of Time / Moromeții 2 was awarded best film and received the trophy of the 47th Romanian Filmmakers Union Awards (UCIN) for 2018. The gala was held on 28 May 2019.

    Moromete Family: On the Edge of Time was also awarded in the best leading actor, best art direction and best costumes categories. The film was also awarded best film by the Romanian Film Critics Association Awards, whose annual accolades were also announced during the same event.

    The jury was composed of Cristi Puiu (president), Manuela Cernat (film critic and historian), Aura Corbeanu (cultural expert), Dan Dediu (music composer), Iosif Demian (director), Dana Duma (film critic), Radu Igazsag (animated film director), Melania Oproiu (film editor), Adrian Silişteanu (director), Tora Vasilescu (actress) and Varujan Vosganian (writer).

    The gala was organised by the Romanian Filmmakers Union in partnership with the Romanian Film Centre and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity.
