    CLUJ-NAPOCA: Mihai Mincan and Claudiu Mitcu’s documentary Emigrant Blues: a Road Movie in 2 1/2 Chapters will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF (31 May - 9 June 2019). The film is a Romanian coproduction supported by the Romanian Film Centre.

    A 55-hour journey from Bucharest to Madrid in a bus full of people travelling thousands of kilometers between homes. The last trip to one’s native country, this time in the back of a hearse, driven by two struggling Romanian undertakers. Story fragments about people who dream of their homes but are too scared to reset their whole lives once again.

    The film is a 70 minutes documentary produced by Radu Stancu through DeFilm in coproduction with Wearebasca. It was supported by the Romanian Film Centre, Creative Europe – MEDIA of the European Union and the Romanian Television (TVR). The budget was approximately 250,000 EUR. The film was shot in 50 days throughout two years. Negotiations with a local distributor are underway.
