The 52 minute film is the first film project of The National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives (www.cnsas.ro), and is co-financed together with The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (eacea.ec.europa.eu) as part of the project "Learning History through Past Experiences". The budget was €15,000.
The preparation started in September, 2008. The shooting commenced at the beginning of 2009 and ended in May. The crew including DOP Bogdan Silvestru travelled throughout the country and filmed 30 hours of interviews.
Cristina Niţescu, superior officer at CNSAS, told FNE that the film will be disseminated in educational and media institutions as well as aired on TV. A book and workshops are also planned
