Production: Looking for a Mother to be shot this autumn

    Looking for a Mother, a contemporary drama of a young boy who is institutionalized after his mother leaves for Italy, will be shot in the Republic of Moldavia as a Romanian-Moldavian co-production.

    The film is produced by Artis Film (www.artisfilm.ro ) and will be directed by Romanian director Adrian Popovici using a script by Valeriu Ţurcanu. Moldova Film (site under construction) is co-producing. The pre-production phase is currently underway, with the shooting for October, producer Cornelia Paloş told FNE.

    The estimated budget is €548,000, partially covered by a €311,000 grant from the National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro ) in its last session. Moldova-Film will provide with approximately €200,000. The cast and the locations are still being set.
