PRODUCTION: Weapon shoots in Bucharest

    Shooting for Weapon, an action movie directed by Ernie Barbarash, started 9 September at MediaPro Studios (www.mediaprostudios.com ) near Bucharest. The story centers on two famous assassins who put their skills together in order to annihilate the head of a drug cartel.

    Leading man Jean-Claude Van Damme previously shot in Bucharest during Second in Command in 2005. The other main character is played by Scott Adkins in his second collaboration with Van Damme and after The Shepherd: Border Patrol, in 2008.

    Weapon is produced by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (www.sonypictures.com), planned for DVD distribution. The shoot will last for another two weeks with principal photography is taking place mainly at MediaPro in Buftea and Bucharest with a possibility of additions shoot days in mountain terrain.
