Critics Name The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceauşescu best Romanian Film

    BUCHAREST: Romanian journalists and film critics selected The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceauşescu/Autobiografia lui Nicolae Ceauşescu as the best Romanian film of 2010 and its director, Andrei Ujică, as the best Romanian director of the year.

    They also named Victor Rebengiuc from Medal of Honor/Medalia de onoare (by Călin Peter Netzer) as the best Romanian actor and Ozana Oancea from First of All, Felicia/Felicia, înainte de toate (by Răzvan Rădulescu and Melissa de Raaf) as the best Romanian actress of 2010.

    The Romanian press voted The White Ribbon/Das weisse Band by Michael Haneke as the best European film distributed in Romania in 2010. The Social Network by David Fincher was voted the best film of 2010.

    The awards were launched by Champions Agency. The winning films are screened in a special program at a leading venue in Bucharest.
