The agreement was signed by Boban Jevtic, the Head of Film Center Serbia and Hu Dong on the behalf of Chinese delegation, on 16 September 2017.

The two sides agreed to work together on finding ways of screening Serbian films in China and Chinese films in Serbia, encouraging film distributors to import, distribute and screen Serbian and Chinese films, boosting filmmakers and film companies to produce Serbian and Chinese films, as well as recommending films which could take part in film festivals in both countries, encouraging production companies to go into coproductions of films of mutual interest, boosting and formally enabling  the support for film archives and/or film institutes to organise and maintain exbitions and aiding filmmakers to visit relevant film institutes for professional training.
