PIESTANY, SLOVAKIA:The 6th International Film Festival Cinematik (www.cinematik.sk) taking place in Piestany, Slovakia, has added the section Docma: Animated Reality which will screen four films that combine animation and documentary.

Ali Samadi Ahadi's The Green Wave deals with the Iranian 2009 Green Movement while using lots of material from existing blogs, Twitter tweets and internet videos.

Blood in the Mobile by Frank Piasecki Poulsen has political subject, too. The starting point is a fact that in the process of manufacturing the cell phones the minerals from DR Congo are used. The mines are under control of armed groups which de facto continue in the civil war - and money for this comes from so-called conflict minerals.

My Avatar and Me by Bente Milton and Mikkel Stolt raises the subject of virtual reality and a phenomenon of Second Life. The main character is an unsuccessful documentary director who enters the world of Second Life and starts forgetting the reality.

Jacob Preuss documentary The Other Chelsea - A Story from Donetsk describes the way of living and social situation in the Ukrainian region well known thanks to its mining industry and a football team Shakhtar Donetsk. The film will be personally introduced by its producer Stefan Kloos.
