Two out of the three awards from the Europa Cinema Awards 2014 were granted to CEE countries.

Entrepreneur of the Year went to Ivo Andrle, programme supervisor of Kino Aero, Bio OKO and Svetozor, all cinemas based in Prague. He is also co-owner and CEO at Aerofilms, a leading distribution company for Czech film.

Best Programming was won jointly by two arthouse cinemas in Bratislava, Kino Lumière and Kino Mladost. Together they recorded admissions of 80,000 in 2013. Kino Lumière is the only arthouse complex in the center of the Slovak capital - 20% of the venue’s screenings are dedicated to national cinema. Kino Mladost, which celebrated its centenary last year, is a single-screen cinema, which was finally digitalised last year.

The Best Young Audience Activities prize went to the Cinema Lumière in Bruges, Belgium.
