For the first time in its history, the festival is welcoming an animated feature in its International Competition, Jan Balej’s Little from the Fish Shop, a coproduction between Czech Republic, Slovakia, France and Germany.
As usual, the International Competition of Feature Films is open to directors with their first, second or third feature film while the second competition of the festival, the International Competition of Short Films is welcoming fiction films, animated films, experimental and documentary films of up to 30 minutes in length.
The non-competitive selection of films is thematically divided into sections, such as the Slovak Season, European Corner, Love & Anarchy, Around the World, Eastern Promises and Focus: Ukraine.
The International Competition of Feature Films jury is composed of: Laura Aimone, Emir Baigazin, Václav Kadrnka, Tina Leisch and Gyula Nemes. Art Film Festival festival is organised by ART FILM, n.o. , FORZA, a.s., Trenčianske Teplice City, Kúpele Trenčianske Teplice and The City of Trenčín.
