BRATISLAVA: Promising Slovak director Vladimír Mičúch, known as Aramisova has died on 19 June 2015. He was 42-years old.

He started to study film directing at Prague’s FAMU in 2008, with Věra Chytilová and Jasmina Blažević. His short film I Like Nora won Best International Picture Award at Curta Cinema in Rio de Janeiro in 2010 and another student film of his Cagey Tigers was selected at Cannes’ Cinéfondation a year later.

Following the success of his recent short film What We Did Before We Drank Cocoa Together (2014, a Czech-Slovak coproduction), he was preparing his debut feature Kids from the East, which participated at the Midpoint Central European Script Center workshop and was awarded at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival's Crossroads Co-production Forum and the Baltic Event.

In May 2015, Aramisova pitched his project at the Producers Network in Cannes, smiling, laughing, looking forward to work on his film.
