BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Juraj Nvota is in postproduction with Johanna’s Mystery, a 75-minute fairytale which will screen on public broadcasters Slovak TV and Czech TV on 24 and 25 December 2015.

The traditional family holiday slot is a coveted screening time in both countries.

The film is produced by Alef Film & Media Group and UNFILM and was filmed on location in Slovakia. The 285,000 EUR film is coproduced by Slovak TV and Czech TV, Filmpark Production and Filmove Ateliery, and received support from the Slovak Audiovisual Fund under its special support scheme for TV films.

Producer Marian Urban of Alef Film & Media told FNE, “We began working on it in April, so it was very fast work. There is a lot of postproduction.” The film was shot in Slovak and will be dubbed into Czech.

The film, with its medieval period castle setting, features Slovak star Emilia Vasaryova and Czech star Ondrej Vetchy.
