FNE at the Slovak Film Week: Stanko

    BRATISLAVA: Rasťo Boroš’s debut feature Stanko will premiere domestically at the Slovak Film Week, opening this showcase for domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy from 11 to 17 April 2016.

    Stanko is a contemporary story about sex trafficking and also a tale of friendship between two people on the fringes of the society. The film is a tragicomic roadmovie using non-professional actors in non-stylised environments. The main characters are played by Peter Kočan and Ivana Kanalošová.

    The film was produced by AH Production and supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund with 153,000 EUR.  

    Stanko premiered at the 31st Warsaw International Film Festival in 2015 and will be released in Slovakia by Continental Film on 14 April 2016.
