Strelkova made the announcement at the Industry Drink reception hosted by the Slovak Film Institute at the Jihlava doc fest running through 30 October 2016, where Strelkova and her team are supervising a large Slovak presence this year.

Speaking with FNE, Strelkova said she had no specific plans for the future. “After 12 years, I just feel it is time for a change,” she said.

She told the crowded gathering that a successor would be announced.
