FNE at IFF Bratislava 2016: European Films Dominate Competition Lineup

    BRATISLAVA: Eight films have been announced for the main competition of the 18th Bratislava IFF, which runs 11-17 November 2016. The festival will have a focus on Croatia, including one Croatian film in the international competition.

    In keeping with the theme, Croatian actor Rade Serbedzija will receive the Artistic Excellence in World Cinema Award. Other themes for this year’s festival include a focus on urban city life and a look back at US elections.

    CEE films in the main competition include Dogs by Romanian director Bogdan Mirica, Mellow Mud from Latvia directed by Renars Vimba and Quit Staring at My Plate by Croatian director Hana Jusic.
