BRATISLAVA: Miro Remo’s documentary Richard Müller: Unknown / Richard Müller: Nespoznaný will screen at the Slovak Film Week, a showcase for domestic production organised by the Slovak Film and Television Academy from 3 to 9 April 2017. The film focuses on the life of well-known Czech/Slovak singer Richard Müller.
Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) nominated Richard Müller: Unknown for best documentary and best sound design at the Sun in a Net national awards, set to take place as part of the Slovak Film Week event on 7 April 2017.
An exposed singer is the main hero of the story. His borderline conditions and several other circumstances lead him to the hospital. During the first days of his stay in hospital he has no idea whether (and if so, in what conditions) he will ever be able to return home. This threat leads him to look deep into his soul and takes him on a short trip through his life up to then.
The film was produced by Punkchart Films in coproduction with endorfilm, Arsy-Versy, RTVS and the Czech Television. It received support from the Slovak Audiovisual Fund and the Czech State Cinematography Fund.
Richard Müller: Unknown was released in November 2016 with Punkchart Films handling the sales.
