The film will be distributed on 600 copies by one of the leading Italian distribution companies Medusa Film www.medusa.it.
Rudolf Biermann told FNE he got the offer that he couldn't refuse. He had been planning to shoot the film, based on best-selling Czech author Michal Viewegh´s novel, as a Czech production. "But then Mr. Faenza and Mrs. Ferri, the distributor of the film La Vita é bella (Life is Beautiful), approached us with the very attractive offer, and we shot the film last summer with an international cast in Prague," Biermann said.
The comedy is directed by Roberto Faenza. Slovak actress Zuzana Fialova plays a supporting role in the film.
Another Biermann project, the long awaited historical film about the Slovak-Polish "Robin Hood," Janosik directed by Agnieszka Holland, has been revived after a five years break. The film is expected to reach Slovak cinemas in September 2009.
