Slovenian Cinematographers Hand Out First Awards

    LJUBLJANA: The Slovenian Society of Cinematographers (ZFS) gave out awards to cinematographers in five categories and three lifetime achievement awards in its first IRIS awards ceremony on 26 April 2016.

    Prizes went to cinematographers in the categories of feature film, short film, documentary, TV series and student film. The feature film award went to Marko Brdar for his work on the Croatian/Serbian/Slovenian coproduction The High Sun.

    A total of 41 films were submitted for consideration. Recipients had to be Slovenian citizens or Slovenian nationals.

    ZFS unanimously decided to award three lifetime achievement awards in cinematography. They went to Ivan Marincek-Žan, Žaro Tusar and Ivo Belec.
