GRANTS: Slovenia Funds Eight Feature Films


    LJUBLJANA: The Slovenian Film Centre has announced production grants of 2.38 m EUR for four full-length feature films, two documentary features and two feature debuts.

    The biggest grant of 640,000 EUR went to a new feature from Goran Vojnović entitled Once Were Humans / Nekoč so bili ljudje by Arsmedia. Renowned Slovenian film director Vinko Möderndorfer got 600,000 EUR for his fourth feature film Night Quartet / Nočni kvartet produced by Forum Ljubljana.

    Also in the fall 2017 round, 510,000 EUR was allocated to the two Slovenian directors, Marko Sinko, who recently made the short film Schoolmates with the Slovenian Shooting Star 2017 Maruša Majer, and Dominik Mencej, for their debut features.

    Altogether twenty film projects applied for funding.
