Viasat catches handball rights in Hungary and Slovenia

2007-08-11

Viasat Broadcasting (www.viasatworld.com), a European satellite broadcaster, has obtained the exclusive rights to air the next five seasons of the EHF Champions League for handball in Hungary and Slovenia.

Previously, the state owned the rights to air the matches, but starting in September, Viasat will take over. The deal includes both men’s and women’s matches. They will be aired on two channels: TV3 in Slovenia and Viasat3 in Hungary.
