Slovenian Film Fund appoints temporary director

By Matevz Rudolf
The Slovenian Film Fund (www.film-sklad.si) has appointed Marjetica Mahne, president of the Film Fund's supervisory board, as acting director.

Mahne replaces Denis Miklavčič, who was dismissed from the position at the end of 2009. The move was recommended by the Slovenian Court of Audit, which had required changes at the Film Fund that had not been accomplished by a legally set deadline. According to Film Fund regulations, a new director must be appointed within 90 days.

Two members of the supervisory board (Nikola Todorović and Živa Emeršič) resigned and were replaced by publicist and editor Samo Rugelj (www.premiera.si) and former programme director of public broadcaster RTV SLO (www.rtvslo.si) Janez Lombergar.
