Polish co-production at the fair in Cannes. Poland for the first time with its own stand - MIPCOM, 13 - 16 October

    On 13 - 16 October 2014 will be the 30th anniversary edition of the international fair and conference MIPCOM directed at producers, broadcasters, distributors and sales agents and companies in the area of digital media. MIPCOM is the most important annual meeting of the audiovisual sector -   the persons responsible for the purchase and sale of feature films, TV series, formats, documentaries and animation. Every year, the fair brings together more than 13,500 participants from over 100 countries, including about 4,600 buyers and 2,100 exhibitors.

    For the first time at MIPCOM Poland will have its own booth, which will feature Polish producers and film commissions. The initiative is a collaboration with the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion (Trade and Investment), foreign entity of the Ministry of Economy at the Polish Embassy in Paris.

    Two days before MIPCOM-I organized a conference devoted MIPJunior films and programs for children and youth, which are presented in the context of a digital library containing over 1000 TV series and movies, and about 200 projects at the development stage, most of the animation. Participants will have the opportunity MIPJunior   present their projects in the form of pitching before the commissioning editors m.in . of   M6, Turner Broadcasting System Europe, National Geographic Kids and Amazon Studio.

    An important Polish accent at this year's MIPCOM conference will be a panel devoted to Poland, organized in a series of GLOBAL hotspots, entitled "EXPANDING HORIZONS IN POLAND: POLAND - An undiscovered GEM", which will be held on Wednesday, October 15 hrs. 10:30 - 11:15. Producers and TV stations talk about cooperation with ZDF and National Geographic m.in . examples:

    On the other hand, the Commission Film (Film Commission Day) on Tuesday, October 14 hrs. 14:00 will feature two Polish organizations: Film Commission Poland and Lodz Film Commission, who will talk about the different forms of organizational and financial support. The Commission's presence alongside Polish Film producers, broadcasters and their foreign partners an opportunity to demonstrate superiority complex placement television and film production on Polish territory over other offers.
