    October starts with several international film festivals featuring Slovak films.

    LET´S CEE Film festival, Vienna (Oct 2-11, 2014)

    Our recent festival darlings are included in the Festival´s Competition section: VELVET TERRORISTS (Zamatoví teroristi by P.Pekarčík, I. Ostrochovský and P. Kerekes) in the Documentary Competition of the festival, and PANDAS (Pandy by M. Vizár) in Competition of Short Films.

    7th CinEast in Luxembourg (Oct 9-26, 2014)

    CinEast focused on the cinema of the region of Central and Eastern Europe, traditionally hosts Slovak films, and every year a specialty from our film archives is presented, this time Elo Havetta´s masterpiece CELEBRATION IN THE BOTANICAL GARDEN (Slávnosť v botanickej záhrade, 1969), shown in a digitally restored version. Further Slovak and Slovak-coproduced films areto be found across Festival sections.

    30th Warsaw Film Festival (Oct 10-19, 2014)
    SLOVAKIA 2.0 (Slovensko 2.0, 2014), a special Slovak omnibus film project, featuring 10 shorts by selected Slovak film directors, incl. Martin Šulík, Peter Kerekes, Zuzana Liová, Iveta Grófová and others, is shown within Special Screenings at the festival in its international premiere.

    Two projects of Slovak upcoming films will be presented in the selection of CentEast film market: THE CLEANER (Čistič), third feature by Peter Bebjak, and the latest film by Juraj Nvota THE HOSTAGE (Rukojemník).

    Slovak Film Institute´s Katarína Tomková will be present at CentEast.
