Enrolment for Look For Fund: 6th International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN

REGIOFUN encourages: producer, talk about money.

International Festival of Film Producers REGIOFUN, which is going to take place this autumn in Katowice, will again give the chance to conduct direct conversations between producers of a film and representatives of an institution from which they can receive a subsidy for their work.

The deadline for entering your films for Look For Fund is 30th September.

The organizers are awaiting projects which are at the stage of development. You should enter them via the website www.regiofun.pl/formularze/lookforfund, and determine whether you wish to take part only in the one-on-one meetings or also in the pitching. From among the entries we will choose the best 8 which are going to be presented during the pitching, whereas the remaining ones will be directed to the one-on-one meetings.

The pitching will be preceded by a preliminary hands-on training with Brigitta Manthey from Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, after which each of the producers will have 10-15 minutes time to present their film to our invited guests and to all guests of the festival with the Industry accreditation. The pitchings will take place on 23rd October from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. The one-on-one meetings will take place also on 23rd October but from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; their participants will receive the guest list in advance and will have a chance to choose those funds and financial institutions with which they would like to meet to talk about specific aspects and possibilities to receive a subsidy for their film. This year’s confirmed participants of the film industry part of the festival and of the Look For Fund are, among others: Film3 from Norway, Film London, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Estonian Film Fund, Lithuanian Film Centre, Albanian Center of Cinematography, HBO, Canal+, YLE, Apple Film Production, Agora, Akson Studio, Watchout Production, Kloos und CO, as well as many Polish film funds, other producers and sales agents.

Look For Fund, that is with us from the very first edition of the Festival, enables to receive all information on the conditions and rules of applying for financial support to a given institution, fund, public service broadcaster or producer, and gives a chance to know actual chances for receiving financial support for the presented film. These series of meetings result in new contracts, better cooperation, but most importantly in an increasing number of better quality film productions created by means of co-production. SILESIA FILM Film Institution in Katowice is the organizer of the IFFP REGIOFUN.
