LATEST FILM BY DANIS TANOVIĆ TO PREMIERE IN COMPETITION PROGRAM OF 66TH BERLINALE!

    Film DEATH IN SARAJEVO by Danis Tanović, which was shot during the month of May the previous year, will have its premiere at the Competition Program of Berlin Film Festival.

    Film, produced by Amra Bakšić Čamo of SCCA/pro.ba and Margo Cinema from Paris, and co-produced by Adis Đapo, was inspired by a play written by French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy „Hotel Europe“. French actor Jacques Weber is acting in a film accompanied by Bosnian actors Izudin Bajrović, Snežana Vidović, Vedrana Seksan, Muhamed Hadžović, Faketa Salihbegović-Avdagić, Aleksandar Seksan, Boris Ler, Rijad Gvozden, Edin Avdagić, Amar Selimović, Luna Zimić-Mijović, Milan Pavlović and Alija Aljović.

    Some of the authors involved in the project include Erol Zubčević (Director of Photography), Redžinald Šimek (Editor), Mirza Tahirović (Music), Samir Fočo (Sound Designer), Ina Arnautalić and Hatidža Nuhić (Costume Designers), Mirna Ler (Production Design), Lamija Hadžihasanović-Homorač (Make-up Artist) and Timka Grahić (Casting Manager).

    For the reminder, film AN EPISODE IN THE LIFE OF IRON PICKER, that was directed by Danis Tanović and premiered at Berlinale in 2013, was awarded with two Silver Bears (for best film and for the best actor – Nazif Mujić) and received the prize of the Ecumenical Jury.
