Apply for EX ORIENTE FILM 2016 – deadline May 4, 2016

    Dear Friends,

    Institute of Documentary Film is looking for creative documentary projects in development and early production for the new edition of the renowned international workshop EX ORIENTE FILM.

    The Ex Oriente Film workshop focuses on the development and production of creative documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe, and offers to directors and producers:
    - Assistance and inspiration from more than 30 leading European producers, directors, scriptwriters and experts in the development of the upcoming documentary, including intensive individual consultations and mentoring for 9 months.
    - The opportunity to present the project and seek partners during the co-production meetings at the East European Forum (over 50 attending decision makers). 
    -Scholarships that cover part of the participation fee as well as travel costs associated with attending the workshop.
    - The ability to obtain key international contacts and become part of a network of more than 250 European professionals that have attended the Ex Oriente Film workshop. 
    - Automatic inclusion in the programs follow-up support, which includes delegations and scholarships to leading European forums and markets and strong support in the international promotion of the project.


    2016/2017 Ex Oriente Film workshop timeline:

    1st Session: June 27-July 2, 2016 (Split, Croatia, in cooperation with Hulahop Art and Film Production)
    2nd Session: October 24-29, 2016 (Jihlava, Czech Rep., within Jihlava IDFF)
    3rd Session & East European Forum: March 6-12, 2017 (Prague, Czech Rep., within East Doc Platform and One World IFF)

    The workshop also accepts observers coming from production and distribution companies, film institutions, television, film festivals and funds.
