DOCU TALENTS @KVIFF GETTING MORE ATTENTION THIS YEAR

    For the 12th time, Docu Talents @KVIFF will introduce the most remarkable creative documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe in the stage of production or post-production. The Docu Talents 2016 selection was unveiled at a press conference today.

    The programme, which is curated by the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, will be presented during the Karlovy Vary IFF on Tuesday, July 5 between 14.00 and 16.00.

    "Following the eleven successful editions of Docu Talents, and in order to meet the growing interest in the programme on the side of the film professionals and media, we agreed with the Karlovy Vary IFF to change the venue. This year the Docu Talents presentations will take place for the first time in the Congress Hall of the Thermal Hotel, in the very heart of the festival," says Marek Hovorka, director of the Jihlava IDFF.

    The Docu Talents projects in 2016 are the following:

    The directors and producers of these feature-length documentaries will introduce their projects in eight-minute presentations. All the documentaries are planned for theatrical release between August 2016 and July 2017.

    Since 2005, Docu Talents has been a launch pad for a number of documentaries, includingRabbit a la Berlin, Blind Loves, Matchmaking Mayor, The Mosquito Problem and Other Stories, Cooking History, Rene, Fortress,Pipeline,Daniel´s World,Under the Sun, FC Roma or Close Relations. The latter two had been selected for Docu Talents in 2015 and this year entered in competition at Karlovy Vary IFF.
