Ecology as an international theme of the film workshops of the 7th edition of WAMA FILM FESTIVAL. Join the students!

    Only until September 25, cinema enthusiasts aged 18-25 can register for international film workshops during the 7th edition of the WAMA Film Festival in Olsztyn. The task of the participants of this year's meetings will be the production of short films on social issues focused on issues related to climate balance. Participation in all classes is free, and the number of places is limited.

    In reference to the festival slogan: AWARENESS, international film workshops as part of the largest film event in Warmia and Mazury will focus on ecology. The organizers are waiting for ideas set in the scenery of the region, which will be devoted to one of the topics:

    1. animating actions to stop climate change and environmental degradation in Central and Eastern Europe;
    2. restoring biodiversity and reducing pollution in Central and Eastern Europe;
    3. making recipients aware that the way they use the planet's goods has a huge impact on it;
    4. shaping the sense of responsibility for nature;
    5. promotion of an ecological lifestyle.

    Workshop participants, in cooperation with experienced practitioners, will prepare social film advertisements that will be presented at the closing ceremony of the festival and will be disseminated on social media.

      REGULATIONS

    The workshop will be held on 4-11 October 2020. The organizers will provide participants from all over Poland with free food and accommodation.

    All events will be held in a sanitary regime, in accordance with applicable regulations. During the WAMA Film Festival, the guidelines of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the organizers of cultural and entertainment events during the SARS-CoV-2 virus epidemic in Poland will be in force.

    The organiser of the WAMA Film Festival is the KOSMOPOLIS Institute, Foundation for Science, Culture and Education in Olsztyn. The producer of the festival is the FILMFORUM Association.

    The main patron of the event is the Self-government of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, and the main co-organizer: the Center for Education and Cultural Initiatives in Olsztyn.

    The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.

    The festival is co-financed by the European Commission and the Polish Film Institute.

    The organizing partners of the festival are: MULTIKINO S.A., Warmińsko-Mazurska Philharmonic Feliks Nowowiejski in Olsztyn, Municipal Cultural Center in Olsztyn, Polish-French Center in Olsztyn, State Secondary School of Art. Eric Mendelsohn in Olsztyn and the Municipal Public Library in Olsztyn.

    The festival's logistics partner is Auto Idea Sp. z o.o. - Authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer and technological partner of BEIKS BiK Machulski.

    The educational activities accompanying the Festival are supported by: the ERASMUS + European Union Program, the National Center for Culture, the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council and the Polish-Lithuanian Youth Exchange Fund.
    The program of industry events as part of the "INTERFILMLAB 4.0" series was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
