MIP TV names Ynon Kreiz as Keynote Speaker

    Ynon Kreiz, CEO of the Endemol group, will deliver a keynote speech at the 46th MIPTV (30 March – 3 April 2009, Cannes, France).

    Ynon Kreiz comments: “MIPTV is a pivotal event in the TV industry calendar and 2009 is set to be the most challenging year our sector has faced in over a decade. In this climate, content creators will need to be bold and innovative in order to achieve growth and I'm very grateful to have this opportunity to share our plans for Endemol's global business.”

    Ynon Kreiz took over the reins of Endemol on June 1st this year. Prior to joining Endemol, he worked as an investor in the media industry. Between 2005 and 2007, Ynon Kreiz was a Partner at Balderton Capital (formerly Benchmark Capital Europe), a leading venture capital firm, where he served on the boards of Setanta Sports and Codemasters.

    Between 1997 and 2002 Ynon Kreiz was Chairman and CEO of Fox Kids Europe N.V. (FKE), which he co-founded with Haim Saban in 1996. Under Kreiz's management, Fox Kids became one of the fastest growing pay-TV channels in Europe and the Middle East, broadcasting to 56 countries in 17 languages.
