    Films Boutique announces world premiere of Oleg Novkovic's WHITE WHITE WORLD in the international competition in Locarno.

    "The Miners' Opera" is the epic story of people in a forgotten town in Serbia inspired by songs of the Album "Balkan Tango" by composer Boris Kovac.
    Novkovic combines elements of classical Greek tragedy and opera with the brutal realism of present day life in a Serbian small-town.

    Synopsis:

    King, is a handsome 40 year old former miner owning a bar. Once he had an affair with the town beauty Ruzica, the wife of his boxing coach. When the husband found out and went mad, she had to kill him.
    After 7 years in jail Ruzica returns to find her beloved King involved with a beautiful young girl: her daughter Rosa.

    The film is a Serbian, German, Swedish coproduction and has been produced by lead actor Uliks Fehmiu and theatre producer Milena Trobozic Garfield as well as Ostlicht Filmproduktion and Hepp Film in Sweden.
