Friday 24th September 2010, Budapest, Hungary - CTAM Europe (Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing) today announced the winners of the Creative Awards Program (CAP), a key highlight of the annual two day EuroSummit event .
Originally launched in 2007, the Creative Awards Program (CAP), has been open to submissions from all CTAM Europe members including cable operators, networks and content providers to recognize the excellence in cable marketing and honour outstanding creative achievements.

This year 51 entries were received from major cable operators & programmers across Europe.

Sam Moorthy, founder of creative agency Icons & Images, said,
"As one of the judges I observed a lot of principles that are used In fmcg advertising are becoming relevant in cable marketing. I believe companies that follow this route will have advantages over their competitors."

Gabor Varga, Head of Creative Services at HBO Central Europe, added,
" To receive these awards from the CAP judging panel is a great honour, and reflects the creative ability and hard work of the on-air team at HBO Central Europe."

Ligia Silva, Communications Director from Zon in Portugal said "We were very pleased to receive the awards, we targeted our campaigns at young adults, young couples and families with young children, and we are proud to receive the recognition from the Creative Awards Program judges for the quality of the work we are doing in Portugal."

All the creative award entries judged by a selection of cable's finest marketing professionals, with at least five years marketing and creative experience.
The award ceremony was hosted by AXN, general entertainment, action and adventure channel broadcasting in six Central European countries and five countries in the Adriatic region. AXN is a part of Sony Pictures Television's cable and satellite network and has over 16 million subscribers in Central Europe, and also has three "sister-channels", AXN SCI-FI, AXN CRIME and ANIMAX.
