EEFA Script Development Workshop for Documentaries – results

The first workshop of EEFA Training Network 2011, Script Development Workshop for Documentaries, took place in Zagreb from March 3rd to March 7th for seven documentary projects from Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Estonia and Ukraine, Romania and the UK, Russia and Lithuania, and Ukraine.

For three days, Catherine Buresi as the Head of Studies of EEFA TN 2011 and documentary expert Jacques Laurent discussed with the participants in their areas of choice regarding documentary script development. They were seconded by the Head of HAVC Hvroje Hribar and Dorota Roszkowska, Dragon Forum main organizer, who presented two well-established East European case studies.

The participants examined concrete details about their projects with trainers, with the representatives from each country and in individual meetings. Evenings were dedicated to the screening of the participants’ current works, or of the new documentary films currently playing in ZagrebDox.

Following up in EEFA Training Network 2011 are the online sessions on the Platform http://eefa-eu.org/platform/ that was created as space for online training and dialogue between the EEFA participants. The trainers will provide useful information and give assignments to the trainees, who will be able to upload their materials on the exclusive Platform.

The next EEFA Training Network on location workshop is the Script Development for Fiction Projects Workshop set in Sofia, planned for early June, also with Head of Studies Catherine Buresi, Content Expert Christian Routh and visiting or local experts, for other eight selected projects.
