BELGRADE: The young Serbian director Luka Bursać is currently in production with his third feature film Videotheque / Videoteka, which has been supported by Film Center Serbia.

BELGRADE: The programme Days of Serbian Films / Dani domaćeg filma, an initiative of Film Center Serbia, done in partnership with DOK Srbija, local cinemas and cultural centres, will take place in 26 cities and towns across Serbia on 28-29 October 2021.

BELGRADE: The production of the first season of the first animated series created in Serbia and intended for global distribution, called Puffins Impossible – The Series, has been completed. It is a spin-off of the famous series Puffins, with Johnny Depp in the lead role. Depp came to Belgrade to promote the project.

BELGRADE: Dragan Bjelogrlić's biopic Toma, starring Milan Marić and focusing on the life and music of the legendary Serbian and Yugoslav folk singer Toma Zdravković, had 555,546 admissions and 2,111,093 EUR / 247,994,555 RSD gross in Serbia, according to the latest box office results covering the period from 14 to 17 October 2021. The film had 701,205 admissions in total together with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

BELGRADE: The Serbian/Croatian thriller Isolation / Izolacija directed by Marko Backović is currently in production. The film stars Miloš Biković, the most popular Serbian actor at the moment, who is also one of the producers.

BELGRADE: The Serbian black and white courtroom drama Bullets over Marseille / Pucnji u Marseju by Gordan Matić will have its Belgrade premiere on 9 October 2021, commemorating the anniversary of the assassination of the Serbian and Yugoslav King Aleksandar in Marseilles on that date in 1934.

BELGRADE: Dragan Bjelogrlić's biopic Toma, starring Milan Marić and focusing on the life and music of the legendary Serbian and Yugoslav folk singer Toma Zdravković, has topped Serbia’s box office by a landslide, pulling 91,042 admissions, which is nearly nine times the result the runner-up, UIP’s The Baby Boss 2: Family Business, racked up over the same period of 16 - 22 September 2021.

BELGRADE: The young Serbian writer/director Nina Ognjanović is currently shooting her debut feature Highway / Autoput on locations close to the village of Topli do, in the vicinity of the town of Pirot. The shooting started on 1 September and is expected to wrap on 20 September 2021.

BELGRADE: The popular Serbian crime drama series Besa directed by Igor Stoimenov, Nikola Ljuca, Milan Todorović and Maša Nešković finished filming its second season in Estonia, after Montenegro and Serbia, in August 2021 with Nafta Film servicing. It was the first time when a Serbian series was shot in Estonia.

BELGRADE: The Serbian feature film Bad Blood / Nečista krv – Greh predaka by Milutin Petrović has topped the domestic box office during its opening weekend, with 16,958 admissions and 59,422 EUR / 6,976,530 RSD gross. In comparison, the runner-up Hollywood animation hit PAW Patrol – The Movie had 7,213 admissions in its second week.
