Films from CEE Countries Selected for Sundance 2020

    WARSAW: Eight films from CEE countries have been selected for the Sundance Film Festival, which will take place in Utah, USA from 23 January to 2 February 2020.

    Romanian majority coproduction Acasă, My Home by Radu Ciorniciuc and Lithuanian minority coproduction The Earth Is Blue as an Orange by Iryna Tsilyk will have their world premieres among the 12 titles selected for the World Cinema Documentary Competition. Both of them were developed at the dok.incubator workshop.

    And Then We Danced by Levan Akin and collective by the German/Romanian Alexander Nanau were selected for the Spotlight section, gathering the most valuable films of 2019.

    Two animated short films supported by the Czech Film Fund will compete in the Animated Shorts Competition, while one film from Estonia and another from North Macedonia were selected for the International Narrative Shorts Competition.
