PRAGUE: Czech director Klára Tasovská is currently in postproduction with her long documentary I'm Not Everything I Want to Be / Ještě nejsem, kým chci být, which is estimated to be finished in 2023.

TALLINN: Estonian director and former actor Andres Puustusmaa is currently in postproduction with his feature drama One-dimensional Man / Ühemõõtmeline mees, which is estimated to be finished in 2023.

BUCHAREST: The acclaimed Romanian film director Stere Gulea started shooting The Moromete Family 3 / Moromeții 3 on 1 March 2023. The film is the third part of what started in 1987 as a one-time adaptation of the famous novel Moromeții by Marin Preda, directed by Stere Gulea, which was followed by a sequel in 2018, Moromete Family: On the Edge of Time / Moromeții 2 directed again by Gulea.

BRATISLAVA: The acclaimed Slovak director Jaro Vojtek is currently in postproduction with his new documentary The Third End of the Stick / Tretí koniec palice. The  film is produced by 500 civil association and coproduced by RTVS.

WARSAW: Adrian Apanel is currently shooting his debut feature Horror Story, whose first slate is taking place on set in Warsaw. The main roles in this black comedy are played by Jakub Zając and Michalina Olszańska.

BUCHAREST: Mickey Rourke is currently shooting in Oradea, in Northwest Romania, the independent drama 21 Rubies / 21 rubini, directed by Romanian film director and Orthodox priest Ciprian Mega. The cast includes Anthony Delon and Elisabetta Pellini alongside popular Romanian actors.

WARSAW: The internationally recognised duo Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert will take on the topic of transsexual transition with their new drama Let Me Out, which is currently in preproduction. The cast includes Joanna Kulig and Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik.

BELGRADE: The Serbian TV drama series Skin / Koža directed by Saša Hajduković, consisting of ten one-hour episodes, is currently in production in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The series is produced by the Radio Television of Serbia – RTS with Bosonoga Production from Banja Luka in the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) as executive producer. The premiere is set for November 2023 on RTS.

BUDAPEST: First Hungarian/British/Mongolian coproduction 1242: Gateway to the West by Péter Soós wraps shooting in Hungary on 13 February 2023. The film produced by Kornél Sipos through Nyugat Kapujában Kft is one of the most expensive historical films supported by the National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) and is benefiting from the 30% Hungarian cash rebate scheme.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian director/scriptwriter/producer Marian Crișan is currently in postproduction with his fifth feature film Warboy / Sluga, a drama set in 1944. The film is a Romanian/Moldavian coproduction.

WARSAW: Netflix's Forgotten Love / Znachor directed by first time director Michał Gazda and based on the cult novel The Quack / Znachor by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz, is currently in postproduction in Poland and will premiere in the second half of 2023. Warsaw-based Endemol Shine is producing.

ZAGREB: Following the international success of their first feature The Safe Place directed by Juraj Lerotić and coproduced by Croatia’s Zelena zraka in collaboration with Slovenia’s December, the Croatian production company Pipser is developing Milk Cow / Muzara, the first feature film by the reputable documentary filmmaker Miroslav Sikavica, which is set to start shooting in November 2023.

SKOPJE: The historical drama My Mother Is a Cosmonaut / Misioni directed by Andy Deliana, produced by Albanian Red Helicopter Films in coproduction with Macedonian Dream Factory, has entered the next stage of production. The first shots of the film starring William Baldwin and Natalia Sanchez were done in Albania in November 2022.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Pavle Vučković is currently in postproduction with his sophomore feature Protection Above All Else / Zaštita pre svega. The film is an independent production.

BUCHAREST: Bogdan Mirică’s second feature film Boss is completed and will be released in Romania by Bad Unicorn on 21 April 2023. The film is a coproduction between Romania, Luxembourg and Sweden, produced by Corneliu Porumboiu. The sales agent is not known yet.
