Domestic Hits Drive Increase in Serbian Admissions in 2018 Featured

BELGRADE: Total admissions in Serbia increased considerably, from 3,754,368 in 2017 to 4,193,755 in 2018, mostly due to the blockbusters South Wind / Južni vetar by Miloš Avramović, distributed by Art Vista with 605,010 admissions, and King Petar / Kralj Petar Prvi by Petar Ristovski, distributed by MCF – Megacom Film with 168,447 admissions. Both films are still in cinema distribution.

Other successful domestic films in 2018 were: Soldier’s Lullaby / Zaspanka za vojnika by Predrag Antonijević, distributed by Delius, with 42,037 admissions, Front Page Midgets / Patuljci sa naslovnih strana by Milorad Milinković, distributed by Taramount Film, with 28,682 admissions, and Withchunters / Zlogonje by Raško Miljković, distributed by Taramount Film, with 13,654 admissions.

The most popular domestic film in 2017, Zona Zamfirova – Part Two / Zona Zamfirova – Drugi deo directed by Jug Radivojević, produced by Zonegrad Production and distributed by Art Vista, had 190,442 admissions.

The most sucessful international feature films in 2018 were: Fifty Shades Freed (distributed by Taramount Film) with 151,002 admissions, Ice / Lyod (Dexin Film) with 126,157 admissions, Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation (Con Film) with 122,967 asdmissions, Grinch (Taramount Film) with 111,082 admissions and Avengers: Infity War (Taramount Film) with 110,415 admissions.
