BIAFF 2012 Festival awards

    BIAFF festival jury, at closing ceremony announced BIAFF 2012 winners in different categories.

    BIAFF 2012 International Feature Film Competition 

    International Feature Film Competition Jury of Batumi International Art-house Film Festival– Eldar Shengelaia (Georgia) – Chairman, Sergei Lavrentiev (Russia), Nick Holdsworth (UK),   Gyorgy Palf (Hungary), Ryszard Brylski (Poland) have awarded the BIAFF  prizes in the following nominations:

    • Grand Prix  - In Darkness, Agnieszka Holland, Poland, 2011
    • Best  Film Director – Emin Alper for film - Beyond the Hill,  Turkey, 2012
    • Best Actor – Alireza Aghakkhani  -   The Last Step, Ali Mosaffa, Iran, 2012
    • Best Actress – Golshifteh Farahani -   Chicken with Plums, Marjane Satrapi & Vincent Paronnaud, France/Belgium/Germany, 2011
    • Jury Special Prize  - House with Turret, Eva Neyman, Ukraine, 2012

    BIAFF 2012 International Doc Film Competition 

    International Doc Film Competition Jury of Batumi International Art-house Film Festival – Radosław Piwowarski (Poland) -  Chairman, Fardin Sahebzamani (Iran), Guner Guler (Turkey), Sergey Bukovsky (Ukraine), Nino Orjonikidze (Georgia) have awarded the BIAFF  prizes in the following nominations:

    • Best Doc Film -    Argentinian Lessons, Wojciech Staron, Poland, 2011
    • Jury Special Prize -  Reluctant Revolutionary, Sean McAllister, UK/Ireland, 2012

     

    BIAFF 2012 International Short Film Competition Section

    International Short Film Competition Jury of Batumi International Art-house Film Festival – Sitora Alieva (Russia)- Chairman, Krzysztof Kopczynski (Poland), Irina  Romanchenko (Ukraine), Michal Klimkiewicz (Poland), Dato Janelidze (Georgia)  have awarded the BIAFF  prizes in the following nominations:

    • Best Short Film  -  Watermelon, Tato Kotetishvili, Georgia, 2012
    • Jury Special Prize –  Three days of Freedom, Lukasz  Borowski, Poland, 2011

    BIAFF annual special prize – BIAFF lifetime achievement award was granted to famous Hungarian film director, living legend of Art-house cinema – BELA TARR.
