if you want to join us to celebrate the best of East European and Central European Cinema from November 6th to 11th please don’t miss the extended media accreditation deadline of 23rd of October.

Use the opportunity and follow the three competitions for feature film, short films and German-Polish youth films having their International or German premieres. The 22nd edition of the FilmFestival Cottbus presents 150 films from 36 nations in 13 Programme sections.

Beside the competition this years programme highlights are the section “Focus” that continues its cinematographic exploration of Eastern European diversity under the motto “Eastern Europe by Religions”; the search for Eastern European influences on global cinema leads the “globalEAST” programme series to South America and the Caribbean, the “Retrospective” presents a survey of the filmic oeuvre of the renowned East German film director Helke Misselwitz – and a “Special” dedicated to the recent developments of Croatia before entering the EU in 2013.

Meet international and national guests from the film business and relax after the screenings with a cultural programme which offers exhibitions, readings and Live Bands. See you in Cottbus!

The accreditation form and regulations can be found here: http://www.filmfestivalcottbus.de/en/service/accreditation/.
