Taskovski Adds Bulgarian, Hungarian Docs

    JIHLAVA: Taskovski Films has picked up the Bulgarian/Finnish documentary Soul Food Stories and the Romanian/Hungarian documentary Stream of Love, managing director Irena Taskovski told FNE.

    Taskovski, in Jihlava to mentor the Emerging Producers programme at the Jihlava IDFF, said both films will screen at IDFA at the end of November.

    Soul Food Stories directed by Tonislav Hristov looks at way the radically diverse residents of a small village come together over food. Agnes Sos’ Stream of Love follows the romantic path of an octogenarian looking for love among the senior set in rural Hungary. Taskovski will position the film as a Valentine’s Day selection.

    The company, which is marking its 10th anniversary, is branching out from its traditional CEE/Balkan base. The company has already moved into Latin America and recently moved into Asia with the launch of an Asian development fund to provide a one year mentorship
