KARLOVY VARY: The Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival announced the four recipients of the Ji.hlava Film Fund during Karlovy Vary Film Festival, as well as presenting its lineup of new Docu Talents for 2017 and its Emerging Producers 2018.
The four documentary projects that will receive support in the amount of 16, 000 EUR in post production services are the Polish/German coproduction Foreigner directed by Filip Jacobson, the Polish project The Whale from Loriono directed by Maciej Cuske, the Czech project Vienna Calling directed by Petr Šprincl and the Ukrainian/German coproduction Boy of Wars directed by Igor Kosenko and Cyprien Clement-Delmas.
Ji.hlava IDFF also announced the names of its 16 Emerging Producers 2018 during KVIFF. The 16 European producers will be provided with a range of networking, educational and promotional support throughout the year. They will be accompanied by 2 producers from Morocco, which is the guest country for 2018. HERE are the 16 Emerging Producers for 2018.
The annual Docu Talents from the East presented 12 docs from Central and Eastern Europe which are planned for theatrical release during the next 12 months. The full profiles of these docs can be seen HERE.
