Macedonia's Sisters and Brother Mitevski Production is producing in coproduction with Entre chien et Loup from Belgium and is currently negotiating with Slovenia’s Vertigo, expecting one or more European countries joining the project.

The film recently received support from the MEDIA sub-program of Creative Europe, at the latest call for Single Project Development, in the amount of 30,000 EUR. It has received support also from the Macedonian Film Agency in the amount of approximately 500,000 EUR and Belgium Film and Tax Shelter in the amount of 220,000 EUR.

The film was presented at Paris Co-production village, Venice Bridge Gap and Cinelink Sarajevo, where it won the top award for development given by Eurimages, totaling 20,000 EUR.

The script is written by Teona S Mitevska and Elma Tataragić. The creative team will include production designer Vuk Mitevski and the Belgian DoP Virginie Saint-Martin.

God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunija is the fourth feature by Macedonian director Teona S. Mitevska. She was in the Berlinale Panorama in 2008, 2012 and 2017 with the films I Am from Titov Veles, The Woman Who Brushed off Her Tears and When the Day Had No Name.
