The contract with CNN (www.cnn.com), gives TVN (www.tvn.pl) the right to sell audio and video materials from the CNN Newsource base to other radio and television stations, Internet portals and new media platforms. This new co-operation strips Polsat (www.polsat.pl) and its channel Polsat News from exclusive access to CNN materials, which has been a major selling point of the station since 2007. TVN had told FNE that the content will be available in its original version or with Polish scroll and Polish script. The price will be determined by the reach of the media buying the materials and the means of using them.

"We are counting on big interest from other Polish media. CNN materials will be a perfect supplement to our Polish news service, prepared with the materials from primary sources coming from TVN Grupa, especially our news channels TVN24 and TVN CNBC, as well outside provider,." said Tomasz Nabakowski, the Director of TVN Agency Department.

CNN Newsource is a database providing over 300 news clips daily as well as original footage created by CNN and 800 of its affiliated stations. TVN Agency will be managing the access to diverse CNN content including materials about politics, business, sport, technology, travel and entertainment. Apart from the distribution agreement, a special exchange of materials will be taking place between two broadcasters. All the materials will be available to all stations and media platforms owned by TVN S.A. Group, while CNN will have exclusive access to television materials created by the Polish broadcaster in case of breakthrough events of international importance.
