Dragon Forum Call for Projects

    WARSAW: The 2012 Dragon Forum (www.dragonforum.pl) is accepting documentary project applications until 18 December 2011. A series of workshops will focus on development, marketing, presentation and pitching.

    The schedule of Dragon Forum 2012 consists of a script session in Warsaw, from 24th till 27th of January; individual project development consultations in February and March; production session in Berlin, in April; pitching in Krakow, in the beginning of June, during Krakow Film Festival.; and a co-production session in Leipzig, in October, during the International Festival for Documentary and Animated Films.

    The course is open to the filmmakers with a developed idea for a documentary film for the international audience, and who want to access the international co-production market.

    The application requires a short description of the film project; an initial trailer; information about the filmmakers; an initial budget; and an estimated financial plan.

    Workshops are held in small groups, conducted by Polish and international experts. The workshops language is English. Finished projects will be presented to commissioning editors from major European and international TV stations and funds as well as producers, distributors and sales agents, at Dragon Forum, held in Krakow in early June 2012. For certain selected projects, participation in Co-production Meetings at Dok Leipzig is possible.
